About the 2 Bedroom Cottage/ Gite in Brittany
The gite / cottage is located in a pretty and peaceful hamlet near the edge of the forest of Yvignac, only two minutes drive from the lovely village of Yvignac-la-Tour. The village has a boulangerie, bar, and restaurant serving fantastic lunches. Less than ten minutes away from the gite is the town of Broons, with more restaurants / bars, a poissonnerie, boucher and supermarkets. For anything you can't get there, the hypermarkets of Dinan are only 15 minutes away.
The
beautifully presented gite is on two floors, with the ground
floor comprising an open
plan kitchen
/ diner and living area, with a spacious
hallway to the rear
leading to a utility area, with washing
machine, a downstairs toilet and access to the rear
garden. The
kitchen is bright and spacious with plenty of storage and is very well
equipped
with
everything you could need for a self catering holiday, including an
oven, hob,
microwave, fridge, kettle, coffee maker and toaster. There is a large
dining table, seating six, with two high chairs available if needed.
There is also an iron and ironing board. The gite is
non-smoking and unfortunately pets are not allowed.
The living room has a traditional breton feature fireplace with a wood burning stove and very comfortable seating. Also provided: a CD player, a television with english freeview channels, a video and a DVD player with a selection of videos and DVD's to watch and a playstation with a variety of games.
From the rear hallway, stairs lead up to the first floor which has original dark wood floors throughout. Leading from the spacious landing is: a double bedroom with a fantastic beamed ceiling, built in wardrobe and a chest of drawers; a twin bedroom, again with a beautiful beamed ceiling, with a free standing wardrobe and a chest of drawers and finally a shower room. There is a range of equipment available for babies and children, including a stair gate, z-bed, two travel cots and high chairs.
To the rear of the gite is the back garden, accessible via the rear hallway and barn and to the front of the gite is a paved area and the front garden. A BBQ and garden table and chairs are provided so you can enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. For the more energetic there is a badminton net and four rackets and a 12ft fully enclosed trampoline. If you want to stay at the gite and the weather isn't great, you can play in the adjoining barn, there is a dart board, sandpit and a selection of toys for any young ones of pre-school age.
